How does the Callaway warranty work? |
The Callaway Warranty covers all of the Callaway-installed components and most GM original equipment powertrain components. The term of the Warranty is 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. Contact your Callaway Authorized Dealer for additional warranty details. | |
What is the difference between a Callaway factory installation and a Magna Charger kit installation in the field?
Some components supplied in the kit are the same as those used in Callaway Corvette factory installations. However, there are some unique "Callaway-only" parts used in Callaway Corvettes, Camaros and C16's. While supercharger kits may be installed by "tuners", "installers" or "do-it-yourselfers", Callaway Corvettes, Camaros and C16's are built exclusively by the skilled technicians at the Callaway Factories. Their expertise is honed after performing literally hundreds of installations, day in and day out. One of the biggest benefits to the Callaway Package is that, before and after the installation is complete, we drive the car in our validation loop to assess everything from driveability to consistency. We know what the car is supposed to do. We know when it's right, or when it is out of spec. We know how to listen, and how to make individual adjustments for a given condition. When we hand the car over to the owner, we know it is right. Mechanically and cosmetically. In addition, some components of the Callaway Corvettes and Camaros are not available for retail sale, so they can't be included in a kit installation. For example, the Callaway Hood, the Callaway Exhaust Slat Trim, Callaway Sill Panels and all of the emblems aren't sold individually. Plus, the Injector Covers may only be equipped with Callaway logos if they are installed on Callaway-built cars; otherwise, they are available in primer. Also, Dash Plaques and Authenticity Documentation are only provided as part of the Callaway Corvette package. Another significant difference is resale value: Callaway Corvettes traditionally hold the highest resale value of any special edition Corvette. |
Can I delete the Callaway badges? |
Yes, you can "Option Delete" trim and certain accessories. However, there is no price reduction. Our production and pricing is planned around a certain volume. Callaway Corvettes and Camaros are engineered with components that work together; we do not modify the specification for individual cars. And badges and identifiers are not supplied separately. This helps defeat counterfeiting. |
Can I use my own exhaust system? |
Callaway mechanical components cannot be substituted in authentic Callaway packages. We can use only Callaway Induction and Exhaust systems. The packages are tested, validated and certified in this configuration. Additionally, these components are the only ones that will produce the stated power. And the engine calibration is specifically for the complete Callaway package. |
Can I get my stock Corvette parts back? |
If you wish to retain your OE Corvette take-off parts, there is a charge of $1300, plus shipping. Why? We have priced the conversion to include the value we recover from selling the stock parts. |

I am planning to buy a new Corvette. How do I make it a Callaway Corvette? |
Very easily. Call Callaway Cars, 860 434 9002. Speak to a Callaway Specialist about the details of your order. You will be directed to a stocking Callaway Dealer. Take your test drive. When you order your new car, the dealer will specify the Callaway drop ship code. Then your new Corvette will be built at Chevrolet's Bowling Green, Kentucky assembly plant and shipped on a GM transporter to Callaway Cars to either our Connecticut or California plant. You will make all of your purchase arrangements (including financing) with the Authorized Dealer. On completion, you may choose to take delivery at your dealer or elect the R8C National Corvette Museum Delivery Option or a Callaway Factory Delivery, in Connecticut or California. |
Do I have to ship my car to California or Connecticut? |
Genuine Callaway Corvettes and Camaros are built in Old Lyme Connecticut, Corona California and Leingarten Germany. These new cars are shipped to Callaway Authorized Chevrolet Dealers for sale. In addition, currently-owned cars that are not in an area serviced by a Callaway Dealer can be shipped to either Callaway facility for conversion. We have transport arrangements made through Plycon Transportation, as their owners are also Callaway owners. Some owners choose to pick up their new Callaway Cars at the National Corvette Museum or either Callaway factory and make the exciting drive home. |
Do I have to use the Callaway Corvette hood? |
The Callaway Corvette hood design is an integral part of the Callaway Corvette package, differentiating the Callaway Corvette from tuner-built supercharged Corvettes. If you want a Callaway Corvette, you have to use the Callaway hoods. Some folks, initially, have said they want a different solution. Then they come to the factory or visit a dealership and see the look and quality in person. No one to date has rejected our advice. |
What are my choices for the hood bulge color? |
The Callaway Corvette hood bulge needs to be a contrasting color. Zambezi Silver and Stornoway Gray Metallic are the two colors that are used, depending on the base car color. We use the brighter silver on the darker cars and the darker charcoal on both the lighter and darker cars. We have experimented with one-color hoods, and we rejected the look. Please look at the photos of example cars throughout this website. We provide customer-selected accent colors as an extra-cost option, but we reserve the right to decline certain color combinations. |
How do folks like their Callaway Corvettes? |
Please see the testimonials page. We think you will get the message, especially with comments like, "Best money I ever spent..." and many other truly heartwarming comments. |
